Mile High Auto Group has been family owned since 1998. We're not a franchise store
and we're not a chain — which means the person who prices the car is the person you
can walk up to and ask about it.
We'd rather sell you one right car than three wrong ones
We started in a two-bay garage off Broadway fixing other dealers' mistakes — cars
people had bought a month earlier that were already back on a lift. After enough of
those, it seemed easier to just sell cars that didn't need fixing.
That's still the whole business model. We buy fewer cars than we could, we turn down
trades that need more work than they're worth, and we publish the price online before
you walk in so there's nothing to negotiate about when you get here.
Most of our sales come from people who bought here before, or were sent by someone who
did. That only works if the car is still good three years later, which is why the
inspection below isn't marketing.
Our inspection
What all 172 points actually cover
Done in our own shop by our own ASE-certified techs — not a third-party contractor
paid per car, which is how most "certified" used inventory gets checked.
Engine & drivetrain 38 points
Compression and leak-down on every cylinder
Cooling system pressure test, coolant condition and strength
Oil and filter condition, evidence of sludge or overheating
Timing belt or chain service history verified against mileage
Transmission fluid condition, shift quality under load
Transfer case and differential fluids on AWD/4WD
Brakes, steering & suspension 34 points
Pad and rotor thickness measured, not eyeballed
Brake fluid moisture content tested

Four-wheel alignment check
Frame, body & undercarriage 29 points
Frame rails and unibody inspected for previous repair

Electrical & electronics 28 points
Full OBD-II scan including stored and pending codes
Battery load test and charging system output
Every light, wiper, window, lock, mirror and seat motor
Infotainment, backup camera, driver-assist features
Interior, climate & road test 17 points

Cabin filter, water leaks, odour and upholstery condition
Highway road test on I-70 — grade, altitude and sustained speed
Cold start the following morning
If something fails, we either fix it before listing or we don't list the car. We don't
sell anything as-is, and we don't move failures onto the price tag as a discount.
